Giants' loss to Rams officially gives them the worst winning percentage in NFL since 2017

Coming out of Week 6, one of the New York football teams was guaranteed to gain sole possession of the worst record in the NFL since 2017.

Thanks to a 38-11 loss to the Rams at MetLife Stadium, that team is now officially the New York Giants.

The Giants and Jets entered Week 6 with matching 19-50 records over the last 69 regular-season games, and with the Jets on a bye after last week's loss in London, a Giants win would push Gang Green to the bottom, and a Big Blue loss would make them the cellar-dwellars.

Big Blue got off to a 3-0 lead on the Rams Sunday, but Los Angeles scored the next 38 unanswered before a late Eli Penny TD and two-point conversion from Big Blue. Either way, the Giants' 19 wins since 2017 are still tied with the Jets for the fewest, but their 51 losses are now the most, and their .271 winning percentage is .004 behind Gang Green.

The third-worst record since 2017 belongs to…the Jacksonville Jaguars, whose 23-20 win over Miami in London snapped a 20-game losing streak and brought their record over the last four-plus seasons to 23-47.
