Tiki & Morash: Would you rather have Giants on Christmas or Subway Series on Fourth of July?

Major League Baseball released its 2025 schedule on Thursday, and it came with an exciting revelation for New York fans, as the Yankees and Mets are going back to playing a pair of three-game series, and they will be on weekends instead of the middle of the week.

The second series of the season, which will be at Citi Field, will start on the Fourth of July, something that Mets fan Tommy Lugauer was not happy with in the slightest bit. Morash thinks it's far better than having the Giants play on Christmas, but Loogy prefers to have football on in the winter holidays than big baseball games on the summer holidays.

"I get it, Giants/Eagles, you want to be locked in on every play," Loogy said. "The holidays stink. You have your in-laws over, you hate them. Your family, you can barely stand them, and you want a distraction.

"On the Fourth of July, I can go to the beach! It's about having a party, it's about beer, it's about summer. It's amazing. Christmas is about stress and who hates who and cooking."

Morash says baseball can be on in the background at summer gatherings, whereas for Christmas, families need to be focused on their kids, opening presents, cooking meals, and not being able to have consistent access to the TV.

"Most people who find their way to a party near a pool, there are mostly TVs outside now," Morash said. "You can find the Yankee/Met game, and you're gonna be with Yankee and Met fans. So I think it's great."
