As the divisional round of the NFL playoffs nears, BT and Sal debated which New York team is better set up to reach that landmark next season.
Sal is going with Gang Green, noting a strong foundation on defense and the looming return of Aaron Rodgers.
"When I look at where the Jets and Giants are at going into next year next year, if I had to pick one team that could make the divisional round, and who is more set up immediate success next year, I'd have to go with your Jets," Sal told BT. "Who is the quarterback for the Giants next year? At least I know for the Jets it's Aaron Rodgers, knock on wood that he stays healthy.
"I don't think playoffs should be a stretch for them, whereas the Giants, a lot would have to go right for them to make the postseason."
As much as BT would love to pick his Jets, his loss of belief in Robert Saleh, among other areas of concern, has him leaning towards Big Blue.
"I have no confidence in the Jets right now. I have no confidence in the head coach," BT said. "I think the Jets are gonna lose Huff. I have no confidence that they'll really fix the offensive line. I'd love to say it's the Jets, but I think it's the Giants. That's how good I think Brian Daboll is."
