Tommy DeVito made amends with Coniglio’s pizza in Morristown on Tuesday, making an appearance and signing autographs at the restaurant for free after his agent Sean Stellato feuded with the owner over the asking price for the Giants quarterback to show up.

It was a good way to smooth things over, but Boomer wants to see DeVito slow down on the public appearances and keep his focus on the football field.

“The young man is a very nice young man, and seems to have all of his priorities in the right place,” Boomer said. “I would just again advise him, just play football, man. Stop with all this other crap off the field. You haven’t really done much. You have the opportunity of a lifetime. Don’t blow it. Don’t blow it because of idiot things like this off the field. Just focus in on being the best player you can be the next three weeks, and make the Giants’ decision difficult.”

DeVito has been a sensation, and he has made his rounds around the New York/New Jersey area for signings and appearances, capitalizing on his sudden fame. Boomer would like to see the quarterback keep his focus solely on making sure he isn’t a flash in the pan on the field.

“You gotta get away from all this nonsense off the field. You really do,” Boomer said. “You really haven’t done anything.”
