Bob Papa, the radio voice of the Giants on WFAN, can’t see how anybody can look at Big Blue’s current season and not think of it as an overwhelming success.

As New York gets set to try and clinch a playoff spot against the Colts on Sunday, Papa says the season should be appreciated and celebrated regardless of how it ends.

“Every Giants fan has to be ecstatic with the way this year has gone,” Papa told Sal and Jerry on Friday. “After the last four or five years, and being eliminated basically before you go trick or treating. And if they were able to pull off that game last weekend, they would have been able to clinch a playoff spot before Santa came.”

With Joe Schoen and Brian Daboll likely leading the Giants to a playoff berth in their first season at the helm, Papa says the two leaders have made all the difference for a franchise that had been scrambling for some form of stability during their playoff drought.

“It’s amazing what a good front office, good coaching, and a good staff can do,” Papa said.
