Boomer and Gio noticed that suddenly, Daniel Jones is the quarterback in New York taking heat from everywhere, even some of his peers around the league.
Has he become his counterpart in Gotham?
“Daniel Jones has become the new Zach Wilson this week,” Gio said.
“Not only did you have the Seahawks corner going, ‘we know he likes to stare down his first read,’ now Arik Armstead of the 49ers, who Daniel Jones and the Giants played last week…the disrespect.”
Armstead posted on X (formerly known as Twitter) about Jones holding onto the ball against the Seahawks after he was sacked 11 times, and the critiques were pouring in, not long after Wilson experienced the same after his first two starts of the season.
“I guess it goes all over the league, it’s happening. It’s really shocking to me,” Boomer said. “There were guys we hated or didn’t like playing against, but you never verbalized it anywhere outside of the game. It was always on the field.”
