According to a new ESPN report, Bill Belichick would be eyeing a head coaching job in the NFC East after this season, including the Cowboys, Eagles, and Giants.
With that in mind, Boomer and Gio wondered if the coaching legend could take over for Brian Daboll if Big Blue has another rough season in Daboll’s third year.
“We gotta see what happens with the Giants this season,” Gio said. “If the Giants have a miserable season, then there’s no way John Mara wouldn’t at least consider hiring Bill Belichick.”
Per the ESPN report, many are sceptical if Belichick will even get another opportunity to be a head coach, but given his vocal affinity for the Giants organization, there will be the obvious link if Daboll’s group struggles again next year. Still, we are a long way away from speculating if Belichick could be on the Giants sidelines in 2025.
