Boomer & Gio sound off on 'rough' Giants offense, 'woefully inaccurate' Daniel Jones

The Giants had plenty of chances to come away with a win in primetime on Sunday night, but missed field goals and costly turnovers led to a 17-7 defeat at home against the Bengals, dropping New York’s record to 2-4 on the year.

Big Blue’s offense outgained the Bengals and owned time of possession, but they couldn’t find the end zone in a defeat where the victory was there for the taking.

“The Giants offense is just rough, especially without Malik Nabers,” Gio said. “They’re missing field goals and throwing horrendous interceptions right in the defender’s face.”

Boomer’s main focus was on the quarterback, as Daniel Jones completed 22 of 41 passes with no touchdowns and one interception, taking a big step back after trending in the right direction since his disastrous season opener. But Boomer believes that is just part of the inconsistencies that come with Jones.

“Daniel Jones last night…you watch some of those throws, they were woefully inaccurate,” Boomer said. “He has opportunity after opportunity to make a play and go through his progression, and sometimes he just locks onto guys…he did it again last night.

“That fourth down throw to [Darius] Slayton, the defender is right there, but the ball is behind him…he didn’t even have a chance to make a play.”
