Boomer: Could another bad Giants season be Brian Daboll's last after not drafting quarterback?

The Giants did not take their quarterback of the future in Thursday’s draft, meaning Brian Daboll will likely go through a third season as head coach without any sign of a future QB to develop as his own.

Boomer wonders if that could lead to Daboll’s exit should Big Blue have another rough season in 2024.

“I don’t want to say it, because I like him,” Boomer said. “But they have to win. The Giants have passed on yet another quarterback opportunity…if it goes south again this year, and Mr. Personality himself, Mr. Bill Belichick is available, could you see him coaching Malik Nabers next year?”

Gio doesn’t see it happening. While he acknowledges that John Mara would absolutely consider Belichick if things went awry again this season, he believes Daboll will have another chance.

“It will have to be really bad,” Gio said. “Meaning four wins or worse. Maybe five.”
