Boomer reacts to JJ McCarthy's Giants comments: 'Not great for Daniel Jones to hear that'

JJ McCarthy appeared on the Rich Eisen Show on Wednesday and raised some eyebrows with how much he talked about his time with the Giants this offseason when asked what team he thought he would be going to after his name was called in Detroit on Thursday night.

As a former quarterback who felt his replacement was being drafted, Boomer couldn’t help but feel sympathy for Daniel Jones.

“That’s not great for Daniel Jones to hear that,” Boomer said. “Oof.

“I remember when the Bengals drafted David Klingler in the 1992 draft…I knew they had a high pick and it was gonna be a quarterback. It’s not an easy thing to do. If you’re Daniel Jones, and you’re rehabbing, it’s not fun. And you’re hearing this kid, and he’s not even an NFL quarterback yet.”
