Boomer: Giants will 'win more games than they lose' if they keep getting this Daniel Jones
Gio came into Friday’s show feeling low about the Giants and their chances of having a season after Thursday’s loss to the Cowboys, but Boomer says there is still reason to hope that Big Blue can turn things around, even if another loss to Dallas stings.
“Six weeks from now, depending on how the Giants do, we may be singing a completely different tune,” Boomer said. “But right now, sitting here after losing to that team, it is a Misery Friday for the Giant fan.”
While the here and now may be frustrating for Giants fans, Boomer believes there is a window where New York is able to string together some wins and be competitive the rest of the way.
“As long as Daniel Jones plays this way, I think they’re gonna win more games than they lose,” Boomer said. “I really do.
“He has played winning football the last three games...if he continues to play like that the rest of the season, they will win their share of games, as long as they get turnovers.”
Jones has looked much better over the last three games than he did in his miserable season debut, and while he was unable to get his team in the end zone on Thursday, Boomer believes he has shown enough to keep the Giants in nearly every game they play the rest of the way, even ones that seem like a sure loss on paper.
“Seattle has had a cakewalk the first three weeks of the season,” Boomer said of New York’s next opponent. “They’re a good team, they’re 3-0, but they have played nobody...go out to Seattle and go beat them.
“If Daniel Jones plays like this, I think it’s higher than that...I just think these teams are all closer than you think they are.”
