Plenty of New Yorkers on Twitter were enraged when the Empire State Building lit up in green and white to signify the rival Eagles advancing to the Super Bowl, and Boomer and Gio weren’t happy about it either.

Especially Boomer.

“The thing that really ticks me off about all of this, honestly, is the freakin’ Empire State Building,” Boomer said. “That’s the thing that makes me mad.

“I can’t believe I saw the Empire State Building clad in green in honor of the Philadelphia Eagles. Are you kidding me?”

Gio was in such disbelief that he believed there had to be some kind of involvement with the NFL, which made a lot of sense considering the building then switched to Chiefs colors after Kansas City edged the Bengals to punch its own ticket to the big game.

“I need to know the backstory of this,” Gio said. “I would not be surprised if the NFL had something to do with it…I need to know who the person was that accepted the payment and knew this was a possibility in New York to put the Eagles’ colors up.”
