Boomer sees Giants, Raiders fighting for Shedeur Sanders with No. 1 overall pick
The Raiders lost an ugly game to the lowly Falcons on Monday night, keeping pace with the Giants for the worst record in the NFL and keeping themselves set up for the No. 1 overall pick.
As Big Blue gets set to face Atlanta on Sunday, Gio says it is going to be a dogfight with the putrid Raiders for the top pick, and could potentially sway the future of the Giants franchise.
“The Vegas Raiders are horrendous. They are really, really bad,” Gio said. “They are just as bad as the Giants, if not worse.
“If you want the No. 1 pick, that’s the team you’re gonna be battling with.”
Whoever gets that top pick between the two teams, Boomer believes they would both take the same player, which makes securing the No. 1 pick all the more important.
“If the Giants do beat out the Raiders for the No. 1 pick, I believe that Shedeur Sanders will be a Giant,” Boomer said.
“If the Raiders get the No. 1 pick, Shedeur is going there...I believe that. Mark Davis is gonna want to have the show in town. It wouldn’t even surprise me if Mark Davis offered the job to Deion and fired Antonio Pierce. It’s showtime. They want to get fans in that building and take it up another notch.”
