The Giants are the latest team to get in on the draft trading frenzy, dealing their 42nd overall pick to the Miami Dolphins, according to Adam Schefter.
New York, which selected Florida wide receiver Kadarius Toney in the first round on Thursday night, will instead pick 50th overall in the second round, while adding a third-round pick in 2022.
Giants general manager Dave Gettleman, who had never traded back in the draft as a GM, has now done it twice in the last 24 hours. As a result of those trades, New York will have two picks in the first, third and fourth rounds of the 2022 draft.
The Dolphins took offensive lineman Liam Eichenberg out of Notre Dame with the 42nd pick, while the Giants ended up selecting Georgia LB Azeez Ojulari at No. 50.
