BT & Sal: Brian Daboll questions will begin if Giants are upset by Cardinals, but they'll be unfounded

If the Giants are upset by the lowly Cardinals on Sunday, could questions begin to arise about Brian Daboll’s capability of leading a winner in New York?

Sal says, fair or not, those questions will start to be heard.

“I don’t believe this is the case, but I’m just saying, hypothetically, if the Giants lose this game to the Cardinals, people are going to be calling in and questioning Brian Daboll,” Sal said. “People liked Joe Judge after year one. I liked him…could that be the case with Daboll? If they lose this game - they just got embarrassed - if they can’t throw the football and win this game, on Monday, we could be saying, ‘I’m not so sure.’”

BT wouldn’t be surprised if those questions began if Big Blue falls to 0-2 after last week’s beatdown by the Cowboys, but he would emphatically shoot down those questions.

“If they lose, you will have the first trickling of calls saying ‘Maybe Daboll isn’t the guy,’ and they will be idiots,” BT said. “They will be absolute morons, because Brian Daboll is an incredible asset. He just needs more talent.”

Sal is in agreement, and believes Daboll is the right guy for the Giants, although others may question that should New York fall to Arizona.

“I think it’s ridiculous, but people were saying that after one week, that this team wasn’t coached properly,” Sal said. “I think the Giants are gonna handle this game…and they better. But if they don’t, there are gonna be questions next week.”
