BT: Giants need to get 'aggressive' in NFL Draft and trade up for quarterback if need be

With the NFL Draft just a week away, BT wants to see an aggressive Joe Schoen get on the phone and trade up to make sure he gets Brian Daboll a young quarterback.

“I don’t care how they get there or who they find as a willing trading partner,” BT said. “The Giants have to get in the position to draft a quarterback. They’re gonna make a trade and get aggressive and be proactive…Daniel Jones ain’t it…so the Giants need to craft their future and find the guy.

“Target a guy, target a team, make the trade, get the quarterback, and go from there.”

Whether it’s Drake Maye, J.J. McCarthy, or Michael Penix Jr., BT says quarterback needs to be the priority after the failed Daniel Jones tenure, and finally find the player to take the offense to the next level in life after Saquon Barkley.

The time is now, because next year might not present similar options.

“The consensus is that none of the quarterbacks next year are even worthy of a top 15 pick,” BT said. “You gotta make your move now.”
