BT says 'Best player in the draft' is Malik Nabers: 'Giants crushed it'
BT wanted the Giants to take a quarterback in the first round of the NFL Draft, but not to reach for one.
In the end, they weren’t able to trade up to get Drake Maye, did not believe JJ McCarthy was the answer, and went with wide receiver Malik Nabers with the sixth overall pick.
BT raved about the pivot by Joe Schoen and company to open Friday’s show.
“If you’re a Giants fan and you’re complaining today, you’re absolutely out of your minds,” BT said. “The Giants got the best player in the draft. Giants crushed it.”
Sal hated the pick, but BT says Giants fans should be celebrating Nabers, who will be an electric playmaker for years to come, something Big Blue desperately needs.
“in terms of pure talent, line him in the slot, line him on the outside, an absolute blazer and absolute football attitude,” BT said. “They bring in a guy who is all ball and all talent at maybe - outside of left tackle and quarterback - the most important position in football offensively, which they haven’t had since Odell Beckham Jr.”
