The Jets, with a win over the Giants on Sunday, would break above the .500 mark and thrust themselves right in the thick of the AFC East race.
But BT says it’s the underdog Big Blue that is facing more pressure on Sunday.
“Is it OK for the Giants not to have a season?” BT said. “They had a fun little season last year, the went 9-7-1, had a cute little story and overachieved. But you lose to the average Jets, go 3-14, and it doesn’t really matter? Nonsense.
“This is the Giants, with four Lombardis. It’s a home game. The Giants, they’ve got the pressure.”
Sal believes Gang Green has the most pressure, as the favorite and the team that still has a season to be salvaged. But BT says, given last year’s success, that the Giants have to avoid slipping to the depths of the NFL basement, so the pressure is on Brian Daboll and company.
“How much are we lowering the bar? It’s the Giants, dude,” BT said. “It’s a home game. They just won last week.
“I don’t understand how so many people are missing the mark…this is the last chance for the Giants to piece together a season…if the Jets lose, the Jets complicate their world immensely, but they’re not done. More pressure on the Giants.”
