C-Mac was highly critical of Brian Daboll for his role in the disastrous end to the first half on Sunday night in Buffalo, but there is one area that the Giants head coach has been criticized for that C-Mac considers to be “nonsense.”
C-Mac has heard plenty of Giants fans calling out Daboll for laying into his players on the sidelines this season, which he doesn’t understand considering fans seemed to praise that same tactic last year. What’s the difference? Big Blue was winning games last season.
“I’ve been all over Brian Daboll. I think he’s had a horrendous year,” C-Mac said. “I’m the only one who seems to want to give him any criticism for the last play of the first half on Sunday night.
“I can’t tell you how many people I’ve heard try and tell me that this is now an issue for Brian Daboll, and he is now embarrassing his quarterback on the sideline, yelling at offensive lineman playing out of position. This is the same coach who is just as fiery, who started the year screaming at Daniel Jones after a bad interception in the end zone. That was a defining moment in the season. Remember that great Giants season last year? That started the season against Tennessee, and the defining moment of that game, which I think defined the season, was the 2-point conversion…and getting in Daniel Jones’ face after another poor turnover in the end zone.”
C-Mac just wants to see some consistency, not fans shifting their opinion solely based on the results on the field.
“I love that about Brian Daboll…now, that’s a big detriment,” C-Mac said. “He’s too fiery, yelling at guys…the same stuff that’ll make you laugh, now it’ll make you cry…it’s the same guy doing the same thing.”
