C-Mac took major exception to Evan Neal’s recent comments about Giants fans that were booing him and the team during Monday’s loss to the Seahawks, calling them “sheep” that “flip hot dogs and hamburgers.”

“By far, by far, the worst comments I have ever heard a professional athlete make about the fans,” C-Mac said.

“We’ve seen this in this town. Julius Randle, thumbs down, [Francisco] Lindor and [Javy] Baez, thumbs down…that’s not new. It’s stupid to go against the fans. They pay good money, and you’ve been horrendous. So to even go against the fans for booing is ridiculous.”

Neal apologized on Wednesday evening, but his initial comments are hard for C-Mac to look past, when they were such a direct attack at the fans who support the team.

“To attack the average man and woman in this country and this city, and to call yourself a lion and them a sheep, and to say you’re an NFL player and they flip burgers, is the most asinine, disrespectful, and just self-absorbed, high-and-mighty comments,” C-Mac said. “I don’t know if I’ve ever heard worse from an NFL player or a professional athlete.”
