C-Mac: Giants fans seem too excited about Malik Nabers pick

For weeks, C-Mac clamored for the Giants to do whatever it took to get their quarterback of the future in Thursday’s draft.

Instead, Big Blue went and got arguably the best wide receiver in the draft in LSU’s Malik Nabers, and while C-Mac likes the talent, he doesn’t like what it represents for the Giants.

“For me, the Giants are not a serious contending football team with Daniel Jones moving forward,” C-Mac said. “Yes, Malik Nabers is an explosive player. He’s the best wide receiver they’ve had since Odell Beckham Jr. it’s something they’ve been sorely lacking…I like the player. But I can’t get excited as so many Giants fans are.

“Ultimately, this is the pick. But explain to me how a stud wide receiver impacts this team…heading into the season with Daniel Jones coming off a blown-out knee, another neck injury.”
