C-Mac: Giants enter season with 'arguably the best coaching staff in the league'

As Kadarius Toney logged one reception for one yard while dropping four passes on Thursday night, C-Mac couldn’t help but be reminded about what good hands the Giants are in thanks to their new regime led by the general manager.

“Thank you Joe Schoen for getting rid of Toney,” C-Mac said. “If Toney doesn’t play…if he’s not on the field, Kansas City beats the Lions. It’s that simple.”

Toney’s backbreaking drops helped the Lions upset the Chiefs in Week 1, and on Sunday night, Big Blue will be looking to pull of an upset of its own against the rival Cowboys. C-Mac likes the Giants’ chances of pulling off an upset, mainly because he believes the power structure in the organization is as strong as it’s ever been since he began following the team.

“I think this team has a world of talent, the coaching staff is top notch, arguably the best in the league,” C-Mac said. “That’s how much I think about Brian Daboll, Wink Martindale, even Kafka. I think this is as buttoned-up an operation - I think the entire operation of the Giants is as well-run, and I feel as good about them, as I’ve felt in forever.

“I feel really good about them, and I think they have an excellent chance to take on Dallas Sunday night and beat them in a statement to the NFC.”
