C-Mac: Giants have 'absolutely no quarterback controversy whatsoever'

C-Mac has been critical of Daniel Jones all season, but he isn’t buying any conversation that Jones could be losing the starting spot to Tyrod Taylor after Sunday’s win over the Commanders.

“I’ve been the first one to get on Daniel Jones…I’ll be the first one to talk about how disappointing he’s been, and how you can’t just blame the offensive line,” C-Mac said. “Despite the fact that Tyrod Taylor, without question, has made this offense look better, there is absolutely no quarterback controversy whatsoever.

“Daniel Jones is the quarterback. The minute Daniel Jones is ready…then he plays.”

Taylor looked strong in the first half on Sunday, but C-Mac also noted that he looked much more pedestrian over the final 30 minutes, and also had some bad miscues a week before in Buffalo. Still, he has looked better than Jones has been this season, but Jones just signed a four-year deal, led the team to a postseason win a year ago, and will be the starter whenever he is ready to play.

“In the second half, Taylor was bad. He missed several throws,” C-Mac said. “He missed a throw to Robinson on third down, just atrocious.

“He’s been better than Daniel Jones. I wouldn’t argue it for a second. But Daniel Jones is a better quarterback than Tyrod Taylor. Daniel Jones just hasn’t been playing as well as Tyrod Taylor. And ultimately, he’s the $40 million man.”
