The Giants will have a crucial decision to make in the upcoming draft, but C-Mac says it should be a simple one.
All signs point to drafting a quarterback in the first round being the best choice for the organization.
“Where they are in the draft, the amount of quarterbacks there are in the draft, the current head coach/GM structure…when you look at the situation they’re in right now, coming off a miserable season…they’re in a rebuild, they’re at the top of a draft that’s loaded with quarterbacks,” C-Mac said. “The quarterback has been injured and is making too much money, and the head coach and GM have their job because they drafted and developed Josh Allen.
“It is the perfect storm for the Giants to draft a quarterback. If not now, when?”
So, whether it’s taking J.J. McCarthy with the sixth pick, or trading up for a top-tier quarterback prospect, C-Mac says the goal should be to find that QB they believe in, and go get him.
“I’m on board for whoever they draft,” C-Mac said. “I don’t believe they will reach. I think if they draft him, it means they believe in him.”
