C-Mac: Giants win Sunday would be 'worst in history of professional sports'
The Giants will meet Michael Penix Jr. and the Falcons on Sunday, with Big Blue currently holding the second overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Atlanta is not a good team, and Penix will be under center after taking over for Kirk Cousins at practice this week, meaning the Giants likely have their best chance among the rest of their games to get a win.
If that happens, Chris McMonigle will be livid.
“I will be beside myself. I will lose it if they win this game,” C-Mac said.
“I’m not even kidding. Because of what we’ve been through, because of losing, and because of this hideous, hideous season...if they blow it now with a victory against this quarterback who I don’t know how he is gonna play, this will be the worst win in the history of professional sports.”
C-Mac has been clamoring for the Giants to get their next top quarterback prospect and allow Brian Daboll to develop him, and if Big Blue wins on Sunday, it could deal a major blow to their chances of picking near the top of the draft. A win could drop them from second all the way down to eighth in the draft order, and C-Mac will throw a fit if that happens.
“I don’t know if I’ll ever be more upset with a victory ever,” C-Mac said. “If it was they lose and get the fourth pick or get jumped by New England and get the third pick - no, no, no - they can get jumped by A QUARTER OF THE LEAGUE!
“No. Don’t do it.”
