C-Mac goes off on Giants, says it's time to 'trade everybody and bench the quarterback'
Chris McMonigle is ready to blow up the Giants roster after a loss to the Commanders on Sunday afternoon dropped their record to 2-7 on the season.
“Playing just pitiful, disgusting football yet again,” C-Mac said. “Even in the lowest of lows, the Giants have found ways to beat Washington...now, they’re just a laughingstock. They can’t beat the Commanders, they can’t beat the Cowboys - who can’t beat anybody else - and the Eagles, forget about it.
“Trade everybody, and bench the quarterback. We are at that point...I can’t look for meaningless victories anymore.”
C-Mac has long been an advocate for benching Daniel Jones to avoid a potential injury that would complicate his contract situation at the end of this season. Now, with the Giants falling even further out of the picture, the time is now to acknowledge that it’s time to bottom out and finally try to bring in a top rookie quarterback, like the ones that Big Blue missed out on in the last draft.
“The Giants are at the bottom of this division, and it’s not even close,” C-Mac said. “Drake Maye is making miraculous plays to force overtime, and we’re sitting here with the same crap every week.
“I’m tired of watching this team and do what they do, which is get their ass kicked most of the time, but other times, just play good enough to lose. We are looking at one of the worst teams in the NFL yet again. We are looking at a dead season just a couple days after Halloween.”
