C-Mac says everything has changed around Giants season: 'Now it's alive'

Three weeks ago, C-Mac was hoping for a Giants tank job to set up a top draft pick.

Three wins and one unbelievable quarterback story later, and C-Mac says it’s time to start dreaming about another trip to the playoffs.

“It’s starting to feel a lot like last year, for the first time,” C-Mac said. “This game, the way this game was coached, [Brian] Daboll going for it on fourth down…they’re playing right now with their hair on fire and nothing to lose.

“The feeling around this team has completely changed.”

C-Mac wasn’t sold after the first two victories of Big Blue’s current winning streak, but now, after beating a quality team that was on the rise, why can’t the Giants make a push towards a final playoff spot with four games to go?

“Watching this game in particular, this changes everything for me,” C-Mac said. “This is the game that changed who the Giants are this year, how I feel about them, how I feel about the coach…you saw Wan’Dale Robinson really stepped up and maybe he can be something in this league…the defense, after a miserable start to the season, and all the drama with Wink Martindale, is starting to turn it around.

“I wanted to see them take the ball with under two minutes, a couple timeouts, and go down the field, and they did it easily…for me, now everything changes. Now you look to the idea of going to beat the Saints. Now it’s alive at 5-8. You go out there and beat the Saints, now you’re at 6-8 and staring at that same nemesis that you’ve been staring at for practically the last 20 years [in the Eagles]. Go out there and beat the Saints, and make this thing plausible.”
