C-Mac sounds off on Giants' inability to score touchdowns

Chris McMonigle, much like Dexter Lawrence, isn’t taking any moral victories from the Giants’ five-point loss to the Cowboys on Thursday night.

Sure, New York is used to getting blown out by their division rival, but C-Mac says the story of the game was the offense that can’t seem to score any touchdowns, a chronic issue that has plagued the team for years.

“They were supposed to be able to run the football against this Cowboys team...26 yards!” C-Mac said. “They did not have a run longer than five yards in this game!

“Not enough touchdowns! Whether it was two years ago when we wanted to praise them for winning nine games and getting into the postseason, or the last couple games with Daniel Jones playing well.”

The Giants didn’t find the end zone all night, settling for five field goals in the 20-15 defeat. Daniel Jones looked solid once again, as he puts his miserable season debut further in the rearview, but C-Mac says it’s time for the quarterback to start helping his offense find the end zone.

“If you’re gonna beat the Cowboys...you’re gonna have to score touchdowns,” C-Mac said.

“This team is different than two years ago because the offensive line has proven to be far better at pass blocking and giving Daniel Jones time...and they have a weapon like Nabers...they’ve got so many more weapons in the passing game and on the offensive line, that you don’t have to play this scared offense that doesn’t score touchdowns and doesn’t go down the field!”
