The 54-year-old will join new Bears head coach Matt Eberflus' staff after 19 years as a wide receivers coach in Arizona, Buffalo, Carolina, Denver, and New York. He also spent nine seasons in the collegiate ranks as an offensive assistant, beginning as a graduate assistant as his alma mater, LSU, in 1994.

New Giants head coach Brian Daboll will now have to fill another hole in his staff as he begins to assemble his stable of assistants. A hire for the offensive coordinator role is expected within a week, and it has been reported that Big Blue is adding Bills offensive line coach Bobby Johnson to the same role and adding Buffalo's assistant quarterbacks coach, Shea Tierney, as QB coach.
