Evan is all in on the Tommy DeVito hype, and believes the Giants are as well.
Which means it likely isn’t a good time to be Daniel Jones.
“It’s worse than a normal quarterback controversy, because he’s so popular,” Evan said. “If I’m Daniel Jones, I’d be very worried. You can say all the right things, but this has not been a fun couple weeks.”
Tiki wondered if it is worse for Jones than it was for Zach Wilson with the Jets last year, when the team clearly rallied around Mike White and celebrated his promotion to starter to replace Wilson. Evan says this is even worse for Jones.
“This is worse than the Mike White t-shirts,” Evan said. “Joe Schoen, he was doing the DeVito hand gesture, which means Joe Schoen is buying in.
“You can tell me all you want that athletes don’t think this way. Daniel Jones must be thinking to himself ‘I’m f----d, this is terrible.’”
