Daniel Jones left Sunday’s game against the Dolphins after being sacked for the sixth time in the game, and the 16th time in two weeks.
The Giants quarterback was quickly ruled out with a neck injury, which occurred early in the fourth quarter, and was replaced by Tyrod Taylor.
Jones faced constant pressure, a familiarity for much of the season, as Big Blue’s offensive line continues to lack protection without the injured Andrew Thomas, who has been nursing a hamstring injury since Week 1.
Jones was 14-20 with 119 yards and no touchdowns before exiting the game. After the sack by Andrew Van Ginkel, he was slow to get up, walked off the field surrounded by coaches and trainers, and eventually headed for the locker room.
