Giants running backs coach Burton Burns has tested positive for COVID-19, head coach Joe Judge told reporters before Wednesday’s practice.
Per Judge, more than a dozen people, 13 to be exact, within the organization, including players, were retested after initially testing positive themselves upon returning home from Kansas City. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, one of those players is running back Saquon Barkley, who was later added to the COVID-19 list, along with defensive back Xavier McKinney.

Barkley wasn’t seen at Wednesday’s practice, though that also could have been due to the ankle injury that has kept him sidelined since Week 5.
All players were tested before Wednesday’s practice, and several players missed practice due to COVID-19 reasons.
Per Rapoport, Barkley is vaccinated, and if his positive test is confirmed, would need two negative test results within 24 hours as well as no COVID-19 symptoms to be cleared to play.
