Giants announce completion of interviews with two GM candidates

The Giants announced Wednesday afternoon that they have completed their second interview among their list of general manager candidates, with Adrian Wilson of the Cardinals being the latest to interview for the position.

Wilson, having just completed his seventh season in Arizona with the team’s scouting department, just finished his first year as the franchise’s vice president of pro scouting, a position to which he was promoted to last year. He supervises the scouting staff and player evaluations and free agency, among other duties.

Wilson was drafted by the same Cardinals in the third round of the 2001 NFL Draft, and 14 years later, signed a one-day contract to retire in Arizona. The safety logged 27 interceptions over 181 career games.

The Giants already completed an interview with Joe Schoen, the assistant general manager of the Bills, earlier on Wednesday.
