The Giants will spend the rest of the season trying to solidify a playoff spot and stake their claim as the biggest surprise of the NFL season.
Boomer and Gio say it means even more for Daniel Jones.
“These games are really important for Daniel Jones,” Boomer said.
Gio agrees, and believes Jones’ future in the NFL depends on these next eight games.
“For his future as a Giant, his future as a starting quarterback in the league, and the future for his wallet. This is it for him,” Gio said.
“He’s gotten off to a great start. I was thinking maybe there was a chance he’s be benched in the first six games, and it’s been the exact opposite of that. But how he plays from Sunday until the end of the year and a likely playoff game is going to determine his entire future in the NFL.”
The Giants will have to decide whether they want to move forward with Jones as their quarterback after this season, and the former sixth overall pick has shown promising improvements under Brian Daboll, and will have at least eight more games to improve even more and show that he is a worthwhile investment for the future of this new Big Blue regime.
