Report: Giants in talks with star wide receiver Kenny Golladay

The Giants, pressed up against the salary cap, could be closing in on one of the best free agents left on the market.

New York is interested in star wide receiver Kenny Golladay, and according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Golladay will be making a visit to the Giants, which could result in a deal.

Golladay reportedly turned down a multi-year offer to stay with the Lions last offseason, but should still take in a salary in the $15 million range, even after a down year in 2020. Golladay played in just five games last season due to multiple injuries, logging 338 receiving yards with two touchdowns. But in his last full season, the 27-year-old was a Pro Bowler, leading the league with 11 receiving touchdowns while piling on 1,190 receiving yards in 2019. The season prior, he put up 1,063 receiving yards with five touchdowns.

New York is certainly in the market for offensive playmakers to help quarterback Daniel Jones and open up the running game for Saquon Barkley, who is expected to be back from his ACL injury to start next season.
