After turning the draft pick acquired by trading Kadarius Toney into star tight end Darren Waller on Tuesday, Joe Schoen reached a new level of adoration among Giants fans.
Big Blue reportedly acquired Waller from the Raiders for a third-round pick, the one Schoen received from the Chiefs (the Giants also received a sixth-round pick in that deal) for Toney last season. Toney never materialized in New York amid injuries, and now Big Blue has a big offensive weapon for Daniel Jones that the team clearly needed desperately last season.
So far this offseason, the Giants have locked up their quarterback in Daniel Jones, and addressed two of their biggest needs by signing linebacker Bobby Okereke and trading for Waller.
Safe to say, Giants fans are loving Schoen right now.
