As Boomer noted during Monday’s show live from Giants training camp, the Big Blue franchise is most known for great quarterback play and its wealth of legendary pass rushers that have made their mark in New York over the decades, from Lawrence Taylor to Michael Strahan.
Could Kayvon Thibodeaux be next on that list?
“Trying to be,” the fifth overall pick told Boomer and Gio on Monday. “Take it every day.”
The Giants are hoping Thibodeaux can be the team’s next elite pass rusher, which fans have been hoping to have since Strahan’s heyday, and Thibodeaux is ready to embrace the high expectations that will be attached to his anticipated rookie season.
“For me, the only good battles are the uphill ones,” Thibodeaux said. “Just trying to continuously get better and do the little things that are going to separate me and prepare me for the season.”
