The Giants, and many other teams, are reportedly interested in trading back in Thursday’s NFL Draft, and Big Blue might have a taker for its No. 7 pick.
According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, New York has received calls about its second first-round pick, and one of the teams that have “preliminary interest” in moving up to that spot is the Seahawks, who currently have the ninth overall pick.
Still, Fowler reports that “many teams” are anticipating the bulk of the movement on draft day to come just after the top 10, specifically in the 11-14 range.
The Giants are likely seeking offensive line help, and general manager Joe Schoen has said he is open to any possibilities to upgrade the team. One of those avenues could be to move back from seventh overall and acquire more picks in return, and if that is a direction they want to go, it seems they might have interest to help get it done.
