The Giants are playing for nothing on Sunday and sort of playing like it, with head coach Brian Daboll pulling out all the stops and tricks.
First it was a fake field goal attempt that was blown up in the first half, and then, on the second half kickoff, the Giants tried to surprise the Eagles with an onside kick, which nearly succeeded but was recovered by Philly just on the Giants’ side of midfield.
The Giants had a chance after it bounced off K’Von Wallace’s helmet, but the ball took a Philly bounce and Nakobe Dean was able to fall on it before it went out of bounds.
Fortunately, like the fake field goal, the Giants were able to keep the Eagles off the board, as Dane Belton intercepted Jalen Hurts in the end zone on a third-and-goal from the seven to end the drive.
