Giants select Toledo DT Darius Alexander in third round of 2025 NFL Draft

The Giants used the first pick of Round 3, the No. 65 overall pick, in the 2025 NFL Draft to select Toledo DT Darius Alexander.

The pick was announced by Jason Sehorn, and was their only scheduled selection of the night, as they had given up their second-round pick to move up to select Jaxson Dart in the first round Thursday night.

Alexander played 58 games over six years (five on-field seasons) at Toledo, and was Second Team All-MAC in 2024 after notching 40 tackles (7.5 for loss), 3.5 sacks, and four pass breakups. He also had an interception that he returned for a touchdown in the GameAbove Sports Bowl.

Over his career with the Rockets, the 6-foot-4, 311-pounds had 126 tackles (22 for loss), nine sacks, and that one INT, and he was also a Third Team All-MAC pick in 2023.
