It looked like the Giants had been leap-frogged by a division rival in the draft after the Eagles moved up to 10th overall in a deal with the Cowboys, but Big Blue is moving back in the draft anyway.
First reported by Adam Schefter, the Giants struck a deal with the Bears that moves Chicago up to the 11th overall pick, and New York moves back to 20th overall.
The Giants were reportedly "torn" on who they would take with their first-round pick, but bought themselves more time while gaining future assets in the deal.
A potential Giants draft target in Alabama wide receiver DeVonta Smith was taken off the board by the Eagles at 10th overall, and New York responded by striking a last-minute deal with Chicago that also netted them a third-rounder this year, and the Bears' first and fourth-round picks next year.
The Bears took Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields with the 11th pick after the trade was announced. The Giants, meanwhile, saw Dallas select edge/linebacker Micah Parsons at No. 12, and then took Florida WR Kadarius Toney at No. 20.
