Now that the Giants season is over, Gio and Jerry wondered what is next for the team after a disappointing performance in 2023 following a surprising playoff victory a year prior.
“Are they gonna draft a quarterback in the first round?” Gio wondered. “Is Daniel Jones going to be healthy for Week 1? Is Saquon Barkley going to be here?”
One thing both Gio and Jerry agreed on was the need to add more weapons to the offense, like what Darren Waller was expected to be when he was brought in this past offseason.
“They just gotta get more weapons, man,” Gio said. “The defense played pretty well towards the end of the year. They’ve got a few guys there you want to build around. I feel good enough about that unit. But they just have no weapons offensively…that has to be the focus for Joe Schoen, is getting an NFL offense for once.”
“They need their Davante Adams,” Jerry added. “They need their wide receiver who will catch 100 balls and be a downfield threat…they need an offense to come into the 21st century.”
