Saquon Barkley is almost officially a free agent after the Giants declined to use the franchise tag on him, and now, conjecture is where he will end up.
Reports from Howard Eskin, father of our esteemed soon to be former boss Spike, says the Eagles are interested, and maybe the Cowboys are too…but which is worse?
“If it’s the Cowboys or the Eagles, Giants fans are just gonna absolutely hate that, but I feel like the Eagles are worse than the Cowboys, aren’t they?” Gio asked. “Like, him in an Eagles uniform?”
“Obviously I'm not a Giants fan, but either one, you don't want to see him running for 150 yards against your team in your building,” Boomer replied.
The Texans are also in the mix, so if it’s Philly, Dallas, or Houston, Gio says…
“All thing equal, I know who I'm picking and it's 100 percent the Houston Texans, because they are on the rise,” Gio said. “They've got a quarterback that slings it – Dak Prescott put up some big numbers but CJ Stroud is scratching the surface – and it’s a no-tax state.”
And…
“I don't want to sit here and say that Saquon doesn't love the spotlight, but after being here in New York and going through the meat grinder that is this city’s sports media and everything else, being a Houston Texan is a lot easier than being a Cowboy or an Eagle,” Gio said.
