Justin Pugh made sure he had one of the most memorable primetime introductions on Sunday night against the Bills.
The Giants offensive lineman, signed earlier this month, made the most of his first start of the season by declaring himself “straight off the couch” during player introductions when the Giants first took the field on offense, delivering the hilarious line when players typically say their name and what college they attended.
The joke was a comical bit of self-deprecation at the fact that Pugh had not been signed to a team until the Giants grabbed him to help with their litany of injuries along the offensive line, and NFL fans seemed glad they did, as Pugh gave fans something to laugh about at the start of Sunday’s game.
New York’s offensive line looked better with Pugh, but still fell just short in a painful loss in Buffalo.
