Kadarius Toney has been fined $12.875 by the NFL for throwing a punch at Cowboys safety Damontae Kazee last Sunday, while Kazee has been fined $6,264 for shoving Toney prior to the altercation.
In addition, the league did not discipline Jayron Kearse for an alleged punch at Evan Engram, nor was Jabrill Cox disciplined for the helmet-to-helmet collision with Daniel Jones that ended Jones’ day.
Toney and Kazee were both issued offsetting unnecessary roughness personal fouls for their incident, but only Toney was ejected for throwing the punch. Toney later apologized on both Twitter and in a media session on Monday.
Engram accused Kearse of throwing a punch at him at the end of the game, but the league was unable to find conclusive evidence according to SNY’s Ralph Vacchiano, and in the case of Cox, the league ruled that Jones initiated contact by lowering his head on the play.
