Newest Giants Kayvon Thibodeaux, Evan Neal can't wait to face each other in practice

Kayvon Thibodeaux and Evan Neal were picked so close together that the two newest New York Giants actually got to do their first media calls in the same room, almost at the same time.

So, there was a lot of shouting and a lot of camaraderie in that room, where the Giants picked up potential franchise cornerstones on each side of the line.

Hopefully, a matchup that occurs in practice only, and for a long time to come.

“When you think about it, it's a blessing when you have a complete competitor on the other side of the ball that you're going to be able to go against every day, knowing that you're getting better because he's getting better because we want to,” Thibodeaux said of Neal’s selection.

“He’s a funny guy, man,” Neal shot back about Thibs. “I'm just excited to continue to get to know him and spend time with him and compete against him.

So who’s going to be the alpha in that matchup?

“It's going to be 50/50 every time. He's going to hit me with an upper cut and I'm going to hit him with a right hook. He'll hit me with a jab and I'm going to hit him with a stomach hit. We're going to keep going back-to-back,” Thibodeaux joked.

Already a lot of jabbing verbally, which Neal plans to ignore if it makes its way out onto the field.

“I really don't care whether he does or not,” Neal smiled. “I'm going to talk with my shoulder pads.”

Seems like rookie minicamp is going to be a lot of fun in East Rutherford this summer!
