The Giants reportedly have another finalist for their general manager position, and will speak with him for a second time on Thursday.
This third finalist is 49ers assistant general manager Adam Peters, who interviewed for the position on Monday, just a day after San Francisco edged the Cowboys to advance in the NFC playoffs. According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, Peters will conduct that second interview on Thursday as Big Blue moves closer to naming its replacement for Dave Gettleman.
Peters is critical to the 49ers personnel and scouting departments, and has three Super Bowl championships on his resume, two with the Patriots and one with the Broncos. He was a director of college scouting with Denver after spending six years in New England, where he was a scouting assistant before upgrading to pro scouting duties.
The 42-year-old Peters, finishing his first year in his current role in San Francisco, spoke with John Mara, Steve Tisch and Chris Mara remotely on Monday. He joins Bills assistant GM Joe Schoen and Chiefs executive director of player personnel Ryan Poles as the current known finalists for the job.
