According to FOX Sports’ Jay Glazer, there is a brewing rift between Brian Daboll and Wink Martindale that could lead to Martindale’s exit before the season even comes to an end.
Daboll dismissed that report on Sunday, even gifting the game ball to Martindale after the Giants beat the lowly Patriots, but C-Mac believes the report.
“Let me tell you something. There are very few reporters that I just ironclad believe everything they say. Glazer is one of them,” C-Mac said. “There is a little bit of a rift - how significant, I don’t know - but there is a little bit of a rift between Daboll and Wink. No doubt about it. But winning cures all.
“There is no way this is complete BS…I don’t know if it’s entirely pronounced as that, but there is definitely something between these two coaches, two headstrong guys who had success last year and failure this year.”
While C-Mac believes the report, he also believes continued winning could help fix the situation, to where Martindale perhaps won’t be out the door before the end of the season, or after.
“Ultimately, winning allowed them to lighten the mood,” C-Mac said. “Make a pizza joke, give him the game ball.”
