Body cam footage was released via TMZ on Thursday detailing the airplane incident involving Odell Beckham Jr. back in November, when the entire plane had to be deboarded after flight staff said the free agent receiver wasn’t cooperating with safety regulations.
The footage showed Beckham talking with police on the plane, and getting into it with a fellow passenger while the passenger, and everyone else, was forced to gather their belongings and exit the plane. Beckham was heard calling the passenger “fat” and “ugly.”
After the footage was released, Beckham went on a tweeting spree, telling his followers that “we can cut up any video however we want to make it look exactly how we want, good or bad.”
“Can’t address everything in this world, it’s exhausting,” Beckham tweeted. “Errbody got an opinion on situations they weren’t involved in. All you can do is know who you truly are. Purell only kills 99.9% of germs…there’s always gon be a lil left over.”
Beckham said the passenger he was arguing with had plenty of blame himself for what he was saying to Beckham, but that it wasn’t part of the video released.
“The one thing that no matter how much I’ve grown is still the hardest thing for me to do is let someone play wit my name,” Beckham said. “Period. For those that know me know me, you know exactly how I am. I really be koolin.
“But if you press that button and bring a certain energy. Do NOT be surprised when u get that same energy back.”
