As C-Mac watches the NFL playoffs, he can’t help but think about the Giants’ desperate need to get a real quarterback.
“The difference in quarterbacks, the elite quarterbacks that can win playoff games and take you to the Super Bowl…and the game managers. Even elite game managers,” C-Mac said. “We have seen Tua [Tagovailoa] and Dak [Prescott] as elite game managers. When everything is working, they can throw for 400 yards.
“We saw the difference in quarterbacks and how much they impact the franchise, which is why my dopey ass has been screaming for the Giants to draft a quarterback forever, because that’s what I want, and Daniel Jones isn’t it.”
The top quarterbacks are leading their teams to wins in the playoffs, and while Jones has a playoff win under his belt, C-Mac says it’s clear that Jones will never be at the level of the quarterbacks that have advanced to the divisional round, and it’s time to draft a quarterback.
“I don’t know how you can watch what C.J. Stroud is doing, and how he’s transformed that Texans team, or you watch Love throw the football…or [Patrick] Mahomes and [Josh] Allen, and how they transform their teams,” C-Mac said. “I don’t how you can watch them and still tell me about all the tools of Daniel Jones. I’m sick of hearing about the tools.
“If you don’t know by now, then you don’t know. That’s it. If there’s no answer yet, then the answer is no.”
